Our Story
Vector Components was built on nearly two decades of hands-on manufacturing experience in China.
In 2005, our founder Carl Erickson first travelled to Shenzhen, China, looking for robotics components. With the help of one of his first contacts Jenny Fang, he began navigating the manufacturing ecosystem and sourcing parts for universities in Toronto.
What started as small-scale sourcing quickly grew into a manufacturing operation. Over time, the business expanded from a three-person sourcing office into a small factory supporting product development, assembly, and quality control in cooperation with partnering factories across several product categories in China.
After relocating to Vancouver in 2023, we established Vector Components Corp. to support those manufacturers in the North American market.
Today, Vector works as the authorized representative of several leading Chinese manufacturers of industrial components, supporting local customers and developing business in the Canadian and U.S. markets.

Our Founders
Carl Erickson
Founder & CEO
Carl is a mechanical engineer and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in product development and manufacturing.
He spent more than 15 years working in Shenzhen, China building electromechanical products, managing factories, and developing supplier networks. His background includes mechanical engineering, electronics design, software development, and manufacturing operations.
Carl founded Vector Components to bring the manufacturing expertise and relationships developed in China to customers in North America.
Jenny Fang
Co-Founder & Director of Operations
Jenny has over 20 years of experience working with Chinese manufacturers and international customers.
She began her career in overseas sales for Shenzhen manufacturing companies before joining Carl to launch their own business in 2006.
Since then, she has worked closely with international companies to source components, coordinate production, and manage supplier relationships.
Her extensive network of manufacturers and deep understanding of Chinese supply chains play a key role in supporting Vector Components’ operations.
